RSG Contracting is committed to recycling, not only because it’s the law, but because it’s what we believe in. Demolition projects generate large amounts of wood, metal and masonry that can be reused or recycled. Our long standing relationships with recovery/recycling facilities in the Northeast means we can be competitive on each and every project.
During the initial visit of the project we will identify the waste stream and break it down into several categories of materials for recycling. This in turn creates savings for clients.
The bulk of the waste stream generated from a demolition project is wood and metal. Wood and mixed debris are trucked to a local facility for separation and processing. Metals are trucked directly to a scrap facility where these materials are segregated for later refining and processed into new steel, copper, aluminum…..etc.
Masonry, brick and concrete, are 100% recycled! Concrete, asphalt, and brick are hauled to a local facility for crushing & recycling. RSG Contracting can provide onsite crushing. Our crushing equipment is capable of producing a hard-pack material ranging in size from 4” minus, down to 1½”. The recycling of this brick and concrete makes an excellent aggregate product that can be used as road base and/or backfill.
